Terms of Service
Last updated · 18 August 2026
These terms cover the use of Thinam, software published by SaaSForest Infotech, Chennai.
Who these terms are between
Thinam is licensed to a business — a dairy, a tiffin service — which uses it to run its own deliveries. The agreement is between SaaSForest and that business.
If you are a customer of one of those businesses and are reading this because you were sent a link, your relationship for the milk, the meals and the money is with them. These terms govern the software they use to keep the record.
What the software does
Thinam records subscriptions, generates each day's deliveries, tracks what was actually delivered, keeps a running balance for every customer, and sends a small number of WhatsApp messages — a bill, a reminder, a failure notice, a change confirmation and sign-in codes.
It is not an accounting system, it does not file returns, it does not hold or move money, and it does not process payments. Payments happen directly between customer and business; the software records that they happened.
What the business agrees to
- To have obtained consent from every person whose number is entered, and to be able to say who obtained it. The system records this and refuses to message a number without it.
- To keep customer records accurate, and to correct them when told they are wrong.
- To use the messaging templates as approved, and not to send marketing through this channel.
- To honour an opt-out immediately.
- Not to share sign-in credentials, and to revoke a rider's device when he leaves.
Money and records
The balance the software shows is the sum of its own entries. A charge is posted when a delivery is recorded as made — not when it was planned — so an undelivered day is never charged and never needs reversing.
Delivery, ledger and cash records cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including SaaSForest. Corrections are posted as opposing entries. Where the software's figure and a paper notebook disagree, the entries behind the figure are all visible and can be checked line by line.
The system never creates a debt against a rider. A difference between the cash he declares and the cash the system expects is recorded and shown to the business owner. Nothing more happens automatically.
Availability
The rider app is built to work with no network at all and to sync when one returns, because a round starts at 4:30am and signal is not guaranteed. The rest of the software needs a connection.
We work to keep the service running and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside delivery and billing hours wherever possible.
Liability
To be completed. [TO BE CONFIRMED]
This section requires legal review before it can be relied upon.
Ending the agreement
A business may stop using Thinam at any time and take an export of its records. On termination its data is removed within the period stated on the data deletion page, subject to the retention limits described there.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu having jurisdiction.
